KAY LIU is an Asian-American experimental animator and illustrator who investigates the subconscious, dreamscapes, and places of transformation and darkness. Her work heavily draws from her identity and what that means to her.

She received her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently, she is pursuing her MFA in Experimental Animation at CalArts.
